Jun Li's Innovative Approach to Restaurant Design

Food Gravitas stands out from the crowd with its unique design elements. The restaurant's interior is a playful mix of geometric shapes and furniture, both indoor and outdoor. The spherical lamps and artistic devices add warmth and vivacity to the space, creating an inviting atmosphere that is both fashionable and artistic.

Li's attention to detail is evident in the high-quality materials used in the restaurant's construction. The entrance features a snow-white stone embedded with a stainless steel logo, setting the tone for the rest of the space. The interior is adorned with multiple "triple gate" elements, including three arches below the stairs, symbolizing different stages of life.

The restaurant covers a total of 265 square meters, with a functional area division on the second floor to cater to diverse customer needs. The bar table, designed as an extension of the concept of mosubi ring, adds a unique touch to the space.

Food Gravitas' exterior is as striking as its interior. The exterior wall is painted in sunset yellow, contrasting beautifully with the gray and black of the block. Green plants add a touch of freshness, aligning with the restaurant's community store positioning. To maintain the color brightness, food-grade Teflon material was used as a protective layer.

The design process, which began in March 2019 and concluded in September of the same year, was not without its challenges. One of the most ingenious design elements is the staircase, which was designed to mimic the experience of astronauts entering and exiting a cabin. This was achieved using laminated stained glass, adding a touch of elegance and intrigue to the space.

Food Gravitas' design is a testament to Jun Li's innovative approach to architecture and design. The restaurant was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020, a testament to its remarkable design and innovation. The design is a perfect blend of form and function, offering a unique dining experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
